Hello WordPress!!

Welcome to my blog! I am high school teacher and high school baseball coach in St. Louis, Missouri. I am a devoted, passionate sports fan. I like and follow most sports but the main sports that I do follow are the NFL, Major League Baseball, NCAA Football and Basketball, and to a lesser extent, the NHL and the NBA. When it comes to my rooting interest I will admit to being a bit of a “homer”. My favorite teams are the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Rams (hard to admit the last 5 years), and the University of Missouri Tigers.

The reason that I decided to start blogging is because I am very passionate discussing anything and everything that is sports related. Even though my biggest rooting interest is in the local teams, I love discussing the national sports stories as well. I will be blogging about anything sports related (both humorous and serious) that catches my interest. I enjoy looking and discussing the big sports topics from many different angles. I enjoy looking at a topic where my opinion is swayed one way, then after I listen to the opposing viewpoints, my opinion is swayed. I find it funny and interesting how many times that my opinion does get swayed by having an open discussion on a popular subject.

Another aspect that I love about sports is the entertainment value that it brings. As passionate as sports can be some times and as crazy as some of us get about them, it is just a game. One of the reasons the world of sports so entertaining to follow is the characters that are involved.  I love finding amusement inside the world of sports. So hopefully, you can find my blog amusing as well as thought-provoking.

I encourage reader discussion and comments regarding anything that I post. That is the whole purpose of this blog to begin with. I hope you enjoy and that you are entertained as I try to jump into the world of blogging.
